Astronote draws your birth chart and compares it with your friends’. Astronote is run by Dnote (디노트) (“we”), which is responsible for your information. This page says what we keep, who sees it, and how to get it removed. We don’t sell your information and we don’t use it for advertising.
What we collect
- From Google sign-in: your email address and a Google account id. Nothing else from your Google account.
- What you type: nickname, birth date, birth time (optional) and birth city, and the relationship you pick for a friend (friends · dating · family).
- What you do in the app: hearts you leave or receive, readings you open, refunds and reports you send.
- Purchases: what you bought, when and for how much. Card details go to our payment provider — we never see or store them.
- Technical: a sign-in cookie, a device key (so a guest can come back to their heart), IP address for abuse limits, and error and speed reports.
Who sees what
- Your birth date and birth time: only you.
- A wheel owner and a friend who left a heart see each other’s planets. A full chart can hint at a birth date.
- Anyone else with a wheel link sees nicknames and where hearts sit — not signs or birthdays.
- A reading: only the two people it is about.
Why we use it
- To calculate charts and compatibility, and to write readings
- To keep your wheel, hearts and cookies in your account
- To process payments and refunds
- To send emails you can turn off (like a new heart on your wheel)
- To stop abuse, fix errors and see which parts of the app work
Services we use
These companies handle data for us, only to run Astronote:
- Vercel — hosting, bot protection and speed reports
- Neon — database
- Google — sign-in
- OpenAI — writes readings from nicknames and chart positions. It does not get your email or birth date.
- Dodo Payments — payments, as merchant of record
- Resend — email
- Sentry — error reports, with nicknames and birth details removed
Our servers are in the United States.
How long we keep it
- Your account, wheel and readings: until you delete them.
- After you delete your account: 30 days in case you change your mind, then removed. Choose “delete right away” to skip the wait.
- A heart you left: until you take it off, the wheel owner removes it, or you ask us to.
- Purchase records: kept for accounting, with your name and birthday removed.
- Request and abuse-limit records: 30 days. Usage events: 13 months, under an anonymous id.
Your choices
- Edit your birth info in Me → Settings.
- Take your heart off a friend’s wheel, or remove and block hearts on yours.
- Turn off emails in Me → Settings → Notifications, or from the link in any email.
- Delete your account in Me → Delete my account.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or for anything to be corrected or deleted, at support@astronote.me. We answer within 30 days.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
Age
Astronote is for people 16 and over. If you’re younger, we don’t save what you type. If we find an account belonging to someone under 16, we delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we tell you in the app first.
